BC HIGHLIGHTS
- The Boston College women's track and field team returned to Boston University on Friday for the John Thomas Invitational.
- Senior Claudia DiSomma and junior Molly McCabe highlighted the day for the Eagles in the 800m. The Boston College duo led all collegiate competitors on the day, with their times of 2:09.77 and 2:09.88, respectively. With their times, DiSomma and McCabe earned qualification to the ACC Indoor Championships.
- Sophomore Paige Duca was impressive in the mile run. Among collegiate runners, her time of 4:45.81 landed her in sixth place overall.
- Freshman Julia Lyons had a career day for the Eagles. On the track, she participated in the 200m dash, earning a time of 25.62 for 36th place among all athletes. Additionally, Lyons participated in the long jump, where she leaped 5.25m (17'6.15"), taking ninth overall on the day.
- In the 500m race, senior Christina Kyritsis led the way for the Eagles, taking home first place in her heat and ninth place among all collegiate athletes with her time of 1:17.27.
- Also in the distance events, freshman Anna Flynn led the way in the 1000m. Running in the fastest heat, Flynn claimed seventh place overall among all collegiate athletes with her time of 2:53.44. In the same event, senior teammate Catherine Maloy won her heat with her time of 2:58.82, landing her in 12th place among all collegiate athletes.
- In the field events, sophomore Elizabeth Knoll participated in the high jump, where she cleared a height of 1.65m (5'5"). Knoll finished in sixth place among collegiate competitors on the day.
- Closing out the meet, the Eagles' 4x400m relay team of junior Julia Barron, sophomore Johanna Celli, senior Gabriella Candelieri, and senior Robin Gross matched up for a time of 3:55.20 for tenth place overall in the meet.

The Eagles will be back in action at Boston University again next weekend, racing in the Scarlet and White Invitational.
