Meehan, Towles Named Eagles of the Week

Pair honored for performances last week

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Senior forward McKenzie Meehan (women's soccer) and graduate student QB Patrick Towles (football) have been named Eagles of the Week.

Meehan scored the 55^th goal of her career in a 3-0 win against Pittsburgh last Thursday to break the all-time Boston College goal-scoring record. Meehan now holds career records at BC in goals, points (118) and game-winning goals (18).

Towles was responsible for four of the Eagles' six touchdowns in the 42-10 victory over Wagner on Saturday. He threw for two and accounted for two on the ground while not throwing an interception. Towles finished the day going 9-for-16 for 157 passing yards and rushed seven times for 46 yards.

Women's soccer (9-2-1, 1-2-0 ACC) will host NC State on Sunday at 1 p.m. Football (2-2, 0-2 ACC) will host Buffalo on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Alumni Stadium.
