CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – As the BC football team prepares for its home opener on Saturday against Wagner, Head Coach Steve Addazio wants the Eagles to get back to basics.
Â
"I want to do a little less," said Addazio. "I want to make sure we can really focus on our fundamentals. Less focus on scheme, more focus on fundamentals and playing as fast as we can play and try to get rid of as many mistakes as we can on the field.
Â
"I think that will help us. I'm not saying that's the answer to all the ails that happened on Saturday, I'm saying that's something we need to do, on both sides of the ball and in the kicking game."
Â
After suffering a difficult conference loss last weekend at the hands of Virginia Tech, BC looks to regroup against Wagner in the home opener. Being back at the friendly confines of Alumni Stadium in front of the home crowd is what Coach Addazio looks as a fix for his team.
Â
In BC alumni news, former Eagles hockey standout Stephen Gionta looks to make an impression at the New York Islanders training camp. Additionally, North Attleboro native Brian Sankey gets the call to the Boston College hall of fame.
