Rios, Ferraris Named To All-NEISA Sailing Teams

Boston College's senior Raul Rios and junior Allison Ferraris were honored this past weekend at the Conference Championship. Rios was named a NEISA All-Skippers First-Team and was a finalist for Sailor of the Year. Ferraris was a finalist for Crew of the Year and earned All-NEISA Crews First-Team honors.

Other Eagles were honored as the co-ed team qualified for the national championship in San Diego with a fourth place finish at the conference championship this past weekend.

Senior Katherine Downey and Ferraris were named to the All-NEISA Crews First-Team while Rios and sophomore Charlie Sinks were named to the All-NEISA Skippers First-Team.

 Boston College will have all three teams competing in the 2016 National Sailing Championship which will run from May 24 to June 4 at the San Diego Yacht Club in San Diego. The women's semifinal will run from May 24-25 with the national championship will go from May 26-27. The Laser Performance Team Race Championship will go from May 28-30 followed by the Gill Co-Ed Championship. The semifinal for the co-ed competition will run from May 31-June 1 followed by the finals on June 2-3.
