McKenzie Meehan Heads To U-23 USWNT Training Camp

Senior McKenzie Meehan was named to the 26-player roster for the Under-23 U.S. Women's National Team training camp in Charlottesville, Virginia from May 1-7.
Meehan, a native of Glocester, Rhode Island, was an All-ACC first team honoree, as well as an NSCAA All-Southeast Region first team selection. She was named to the NSCAA All-America third team and to the 2015 COSIDA Academic All-America Division 1 soccer team. Meehan was also an NSCAA Scholar All-America second team honoree.
The Eagles forward had a record setting season as she finished the regular season as the ACC's leading scorer with 38 points (17 goals, 4 assists). Meehan became the Eagles all-time leading goal scorer this past season and now has 45 career goals. Her 98 career points is second on the all-time program list.
In May of 2015, Meehan earned her undergraduate degree in economics. She is currently working on her MBA.
Incoming teammates, Samantha Hiatt and Olivia Vaughn, attended U.S. Under-18 training camp in Carson, California at the U.S. Soccer National Training Center from April 16-23. Hiatt and Vaughn will arrive at the Heights in August in preparation for the 2016 season.
Hiatt, a native of Seattle, Washington and was named the state's Gatorade Player of the Year in 2015. She trained with the Under-18 U.S. team in December of 2015. Hiatt was also a member of the squad that played in a three-game tournament in March in La Manga, Spain. The team went 2-0-1.
Vaughn, a native of Montclair, New Jersey, finished her four-year career at Montclair Kimberley Academy with the program record of 153 goals and 42 assists. She also plays for Match Fit Academy.
