Borr, Dair Garner All-ACC Honors

Eagles’ duo tagged third-team all-conference by league’s coaches
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Two Boston College women's tennis player drew All-ACC honors for the 2015-16 season, the conference announced Thursday morning. Junior Lexi Borr and sophomore Asiya Dair were voted to spots to the All-ACC Third Team, which was determined by a vote of the conference's 15 head coaches.
Dair is a repeat third-team honoree, also gaining a spot on the team as a freshman in 2014-15. This season, she posted a 7-4 singles record in conference play – part of her overall 12-6 record in dual matches this spring. She went 9-2 at the No. 2 singles spot overall, and added a 3-4 record at the No. 1 singles spot. Against nationally-ranked players in the duals season, Dair went 5-3. In doubles, she helped teams go 10-9 overall and 5-7 in conference play, playing with five different partners primarily in the No. 3 spot.
Borr earned her first-ever selection to an all-conference squad. This year, she went 10-13 overall, splitting the season between the Nos. 1 and 2 singles positions. She went 4-10 in ACC play, and was 3-8 against ranked opponents this season. In doubles, she teamed primarily with freshman Jackie Urbinati to go 9-12 on the season, including a 4-9 mark, all at the No. 1 spot.
The Eagles finished the season with a 9-14 overall record in dual matches, including a 3-11 mark in ACC play.
