Program-Record Eight Eagles Named to National Academic Squad

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Eight members of the Boston College field hockey program have been selected to the 2015 ZAG Field Hockey/NFHCA Division I National Academic Squad.
Seniors Kelcie Hromisin, AshLeigh Sebia, junior Alexa Brazauskas, sophomores Audra Hampsch, Alyssa Olenick, Justine Sheehan and freshman Carly Kauffman and Lucy Lytle all earned a spot on the team announced earlier today. Hromisin and Sebia are both four-time recipients, Hampsch is a three-time recipient and Olenick and Sheehan are on the team for the second consecutive year.
The eight total recipients is a program record for Boston College.
The National Academic Squad recognizes student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher through the first semester of the 2015-16 academic year.
On March 21, the Eagles were recognized by the NFHCA for their academic achievement as a team, with the 2015 ZAG Field Hockey/NFHCA Division I National Academic Team Award, given to the top programs earning a 3.0 grade point average or above. Boston College earned a 3.33 GPA in the fall as a team.
