Men's team comes in first, defeating UConn, Providence and BU.

This weekend the men's and women's swim and dive teams traveled to UConn where they competed in the UConn Invitational. This was the last meet for the Eagles before heading to the ACC Championships in two weeks. The men's team was victorious again, finishing first and defeating UConn, Providence and BU. The women's team had a lot of good performances and came in fourth overall, defeating Providence.

BC Highlights

Matt Zerweck had top swims in the 200 yd. freestyle where he came in third place with a time of 1:42.32, and also in the 200 yd. IM where he came in first place with a time of 1:53.52.
Zerweck, Bret Bonzell and Kieran Fitzpatrick took first second and third in the 200 yd. IM, clocking in at 1:53.52, 1:55.58 and 1:56.68.
Hope Dragelin had a fantastic performance in the 100 butterfly, clocking in at 57.94 to finish in second place.
Colin Derdeyn came in second place in the 50 yd. freestyle with a time of 21.29.
John Mooers came in first place in the 100 yd. backstroke with a time of 58.65, followed closely by teammate Nico Junghahn in second place with a time of 58.94.
Freshman Mary Fizsimmons came in first place in the 200 yd. backstroke with a time of 2:07.57.

The Eagles will spend the next couple of weeks gearing up for the end of the season at the ACC Championships in Greensboro, NC.
