EISA Championships Recap

Over the past weekend, some Eagle skiers participated in the EISA Championships hosted by Middlebury College in Middlebury, VT.

In the women's giant slalom, freshman Amanda Steffey had the best performance for BC finishing in 25th place out of the 50 finishers, closely followed by junior teammate Bug Pech who finished 31st. Steffey and Pech led the Eagles to an 8th place finish in the event out of 13 competitors.

On the men's side of the giant slalom, sophomore Carter Robertson had his most impressive finish of the season, coming in 12th place out of 54 finishers. Freshman Aaron Taylor and sophomore Jak Kennedy also had strong showings, placing 16th and 19th in the GS, respectively. The men had their highest finish in the giant slalom all season, placing 5th out of 13 competitors.

The top finisher for the Eagles in the women's slalom was freshman Dannica Ashnault with her 36th place finish out of 64 finishers. Bug Pech and freshman Natalie Wetmore finished consecutively in 41st and 42nd place, respectively. The women placed 11th out of 15 in the slalom.

Finally, in his last meet, senior captain Chris Keating was the lead finisher for the Eagles in the men's slalom with his 30th place finish out of 51 finishers. Junior Ryan Barney finished closely behind in 32nd place. The men finished in 10th in the event.
