BC HIGHLIGHTS

Sophomore Jessica Dreswick pitched six innings, giving up two runs (one earned), striking out seven and conceding six hits.
Junior Tatiana Cortez was 1-of-3 from the plate with one RBI.
The Eagles won their game earlier in the day, 8-1, against Nevada.

TURNING POINT

Errors doomed Boston College in the top of the seventh, as Fresno State rallied for three runs.

HOW IT HAPPENED

After five-and-a-half scoreless innings, the Eagles finally broke through in the bottom of the sixth. Cortez singled home freshman Loren DiEmmanuele for the go-ahead run.
The Bulldogs answered in the top of the seventh, with two errors leading to runners on second and third with no outs. M Rivers capitalized by lining a single up the middle to plate the tying run, B Kennedy. Another error led to Villalpando driving home the go-ahead run. P Gumz would add the third off a sacrifice fly. In total, Boston College committed three errors in the inning.
