UVM Winter Carnival Recap

The Boston College men's and women's ski team travelled up to Mount Mansfield in Stowe, Vermont, this past weekend to compete in the University of Vermont Winter Carnival, its third meet of the 2016 season.
In the women's giant slalom, the Eagles finished 11th out of 13 teams. Freshman Amanda Steffey led the way for BC with a 29th place finish out of 51 finishers. Junior Bug Pech also finished at 32nd place.
For the men in the giant slalom, BC placed 9th out of the 13 teams competing. Freshman Aaron Taylor came in at 21st out of 46 for the Eagles, with sophomore teammate Carter Robertson finishing not far behind at 23rd place overall. Also scoring for the Eagles in the event was junior Ryan Barney with his 32nd place finish.
In the slalom, the women took home a 10th place finish overall out of 13 competitors. Junior Bug Pech and freshman Dannica Ashnault were the top finishers for the Eagles, coming in at 28th and 31st place respectively out of 39 skiers.
On the men's side of the competition in the slalom, senior Keith Schuman finished 26th overall out of the 44 finishers, followed by sophomore teammate Carter Robertson who finished 34th, helping the Eagles secure a 10th place finish out of the 13 teams.

The Eagles will be skiing next at the Dartmouth College Carnival in Lyme, New Hampshire, in two weeks' time on the weekend of February 12. Â
