Back to back victories for the men's team against Providence and BU

This past Friday the swim and dive teams traveled to Providence to compete against the PC Friars in a dual meet. Both the men's team and the women's team had huge successes, especially in the relays where the men's team took first and second in the 400 m. medley and in the 400 m. freestyle. Overall, the ladies finished with a powerful final result of 120-85, and the men finished 147-56. On Saturday, BC hosted rival BU where the seniors were recognized at the start of the meet. The men had yet another victory with a final score of 168.5-131.5. The women fought hard but ultimately fell to the Terriers 211-88.

The men's relays dominated, taking first and second in both the medley and the freestyle relays. In the 400 m. medley relay, the A team of Conor Chamness, Billy Miller, David Howard and Dan Kelly finished at 3:55.48 with the B team of Josh Williams, McKenzie Cole, Estephen Saliba and David Hunter close behind in second at 3:58.61. In the 400 m. freestyle relay, A team of Kelly, Chamness, David Hunter and Anthony Richardson finished in first at 3:29.97, with B team of Matt Zerweck, Emmett Johnson, Nico Jughahn and Colin Derdeyn in second, clocking in at 3:39.02.
Elizabeth Manning had a personal best in the 200 m. freestyle with a time of 2:10.59, grabbing her second place.
Anthony Richardson and Matt Zerweck took first and second in the men's 200 m. freestyle, Richardson clocked in with a personal best time of 1:54.14 with Zerweck close behind at 2:00.47.
Maureen Barron took first in the 50 m. freestyle with a time of 27.20, as well as first in the 100 m. freestyle with a time of 1:00.37.

Cole Malatesta had an outstanding weekend, taking first place in both the men's one meter diving with a score of 298.00, and in the 3 meter with a score of 362.85.
McKenzie Cole had a personal best in the 100 yd. breaststroke with a time of 57.45, grabbing him second place.
Maureen Barron had a personal best in the 100 yd. breaststroke with a time of 1:05.35
Maddi Mailliard took second place in the 200 yd. backstroke with a time of 2:07.99, followed closely by teammate Katherine Karle in third with a time of 2:08.34
Dan Kelly had top swims in the 50 and 100 yd. freestyle, taking first in both and clocking in at 20.37 in the 50 and 45.61 in the 100.

Only one meet remains before the ACC Championships begin. The Eagles travel to UConn this weekend for the UConn Open.
