Football learns its bowl fate and is heading for Detroit
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College football team is thrilled to spend Christmas away from home after learning its bowl fate Sunday.
Boston College accepted its invitation to the Quick Lane Bowl to play in Detroit at Ford Field on Dec. 26. Set to face off against Maryland, a team that moved from the ACC to the Big Ten in 2014, the game will be the 12th matchup between the two teams.
Boston College has won the last three meetings.
This will be the third bowl appearance for the Eagles in the last four seasons and head coach Steve Addazio could not be happier about the opportunity.
