Hammer Shines At Brandeis Invitational

Men's Team

The Boston College men's team went 0-5 at the Brandeis Invitational. BC lost two matches by one bout (14-13 vs. Brown and 14-13 vs. Cornell).

Freshman Zachary Hammer went 14-1 in foil, including 3-0 vs. North Carolina. Hammer also went 3-0 vs. St. John's, including a win over two-time NCAA National Championship qualifier Andras Nemuth.

Ethan Grab went 8-4 in the epee competition. Grab had keys wins over NCAA Championship qualifiers Skyler Chin of Yale, and Curtis McDowald and Sean White of St. John's.

Women's Team

The women's team went 1-4 on the day with the only victory coming against Brown (21-6). The Eagles lost to St. John's by one bout, 14-13.

Gaby Chau went 9-6 in the sabre competition while Jamie Bang was 9-6 in the epee.
