Football waits until Sunday to see bowl fate.
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – It is now a waiting game for the Boston College football team. After clinching a bowl spot, the team will wait until Sunday to find out who and where it will play over Christmas break.
This week, senior captains Tyler Rouse, John Johnson, Truman Gutapfel and Myles Willis spoke with the media to reflect on the season and talk about the upcoming trip. Along with the captains, graduate student Patrick Towles also discussed his preparations for his first bowl game of his career.
With the many options of bowl games, the players can only guess where they will end up until the final announcement is made Sunday, Dec. 4.
As the players recapped the season, all five addressed the feedback the team received throughout the year, especially about head coach Steve Addazio. It was evident that each player appreciated the efforts of his coach and stood behind him all season.
As the end of the season awards come out, junior defensive end Harold Landry has led the charge for the Eagles, along with senior linebacker Matt Milano and junior linebacker Connor Strachan, as all three players have earned accolades.
