Hughes, Landry Named Eagles of the Week

Pair honored for performances last week
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Senior Kelly Hughes (women's basketball) and junior Harold Landry (football) have been named Eagles of the Week for their performances last week.
Hughes averaged 20.5 points, 9.0 rebounds and shot 45 percent from the floor (including 43 percent from the 3-point line) to help women's basketball go 1-1 at the Omni Hotels Thanksgiving Tournament in Boulder, Colo. Hughes notched 21 points, six rebounds and three steals in a loss to SMU. She then recorded her seventh career double-double with 20 points and 12 rebounds in the win against St. Francis Brooklyn.

Landry was named ACC Defensive Lineman of the Week after recording seven tackles and 4.5 tackles-for-loss, and matching a career best with three sacks in football's win at Wake Forest. Landry broke Boston College's single-season sacks record (15) in the victory. He is tied for the national lead in sacks and leads the country with seven forced fumbles.
Women's basketball (2-4) hosts Penn State Wednesday night before travelling to Fordham on Sunday. Football (6-6) awaits their bowl destination which will be announced on Sunday.
