Eagles Face Defeat To UIC Flames

A tough outcome for the men's and women's teams against University of Illinois - Chicago.
The Eagles traveled to Chicago this weekend where both teams lost to the University of Illinois - Chicago Flames. It was tough competition for both the men's and women's teams at UIC's home opener meet. Halfway through the meet the men tied it up for a while until the Flames eventually pulled ahead with a few more first place finishes. Final scores came out to 171 - 129 men, 178 - 116 women.

- Ina Elcott '20, Taylor Covington '20, Victoria Lin '20 and Grace Kunkel '17 took third place in the 200 yd. medley relay with a time of 1:53.12 to start things off.Â
- Keating Mosher '19 took fourth in the 200 yd. freestyle with a time of 1:47.48.
- Anthony Richardson '17 came in first place in the 1,000 yd. freestyle with a time of 9:39.79.Â
- Kunkel had an excellent performance in the 50 yd. freestyle, earning herself third place with a time of 24.76.
- Mackenzie Cole '18 took first in the 100 yd. breaststroke, clocking in at 58.49.
