Cangelosi, Haverhals Named Eagles of the Week

Pair honored for performances last week
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Senior forward Austin Cangelosi (men's hockey) and sophomore defender Frederique Haverhals (field hockey) have been named Eagles of the Week.
Cangelosi scored three of Boston College's four goals this past weekend in Denver. He scored the season's first goal against Air Force and then scored two goals in the 3-1 win against Denver on Saturday. It was his fifth-career two-goal game. Cangelosi was named to the Ice Breaker All-Tournament Team for his three-goal showing.

Haverhals was instrumental in the Eagles' two-game road sweep this weekend as BC allowed just one goal. She scored the game-winning goal at No. 8 Louisville in a 3-1 win and helped the defense hold the Cardinals to just 10 shots. Haverhals and the rest of the defense then held Indiana to a mere four shots in a 2-0 shutout win. She was named the ACC Defensive Player of the Week.
No. 14 field hockey (6-6, 2-3 ACC) hosts New Hampshire on Friday and Boston University on Sunday. No. 5 men's hockey (1-1-0) is on the road for a pair of games at Wisconsin this weekend.
