Preseason National Rankings Arrive; Eagles in Top 50

Junior Lexi Boor ranked No. 47 nationally to start dual season

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Junior Lexi Borr will start the dual season as the nation's No. 47 player when the Eagles kick off the spring season next Sunday, Jan. 17, at the Flynn Recreational Complex. Additionally, BC will enter the spring season ranked No. 49 in the country.

Borr, who went 10-2 in the fall tournament season and captured the top flight singles title at the Harvard Fall Classic, is the Eagles' lone nationally-ranked player. She enters the 2016 spring season after her sophomore campaign that saw her go 13-6 in dual matches, including a 7-4 mark in ACC play.

Regionally, three Eagles are in the Northeast's top 20, highlighted by Borr (No. 9), sophomore Asiya Dair (No. 17) and senior Katya Vasilyev (No. 20). In doubles, the tandem of Borr and freshman Jackie Urbinati are ranked No. 10.

The Eagles are set to resume play - and open their Atlantic Coast Conference slate - next weekend when they host No. 7 Virginia at 10 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 17, at the Flynn Complex.
