Press Conference
- Boston College dropped a home ACC game to Wake Forest, 65-59, on Sunday at Conte Forum. The Eagles are now 13-6 on the season and 1-5 in the ACC. Wake Forest improved to 11-9 overall and 2-5 in the conference.
- Freshman Mariella Fasoula scored 20 points, grabbed four rebounds and had two blocks in 35 minutes of play. Junior Emilee Daley finished with 16 points and five boards in the loss.
- Wake Forest built an early six point lead, 12-6, six minutes into action. The Eagle slowed chipped away. The Deacs took an 18-13 lead after one as the Eagles had nine turnovers in the quarter.
- The second half, Mariella Fasoula hit two freebies and a layup to close the gap. An Emilee Daley hit a reverse layup for a 19-18 lead. The two teams exchanged baskets until Daley hit a three with four seconds to play giving the Eagles a 28-26 lead at the half.
- BC shot 50 percent in the half but had 12 turnovers. Wake Forest shot 41.7 percent from the floor and went 5-for-8 from the three-point arc (62.5%).
- Wake Forest got the best of BC in the third quarter. The Deacs outscored BC, 20-17, to take a 46-45 lead after three. BC continued to be casual with the ball and Wake Forest continued to score off the Eagles mistakes. The Deacs also remained hot from long range as they were 6-for-10 from the arc.
- Four turnovers to start the fourth quarter helped Wake Forest build a small lead, 52-48 with 5:23 to play. With 3:45 to play, Marti Mosetti hit a baseline jumper to give BC a one point lead. The two teams exchanged baskets but a Mosetti layup with 2:49 gave the Eagles its final lead, 55-54.
- Wake Forest scored five straight points, four on foul shots as the lead grew to 59-55. Emilee Daley's layup at 23 seconds cut the lead to four points but Wake came back with two foul shots from Elisa Penna. After a bucket by Nicole Boudreau (eight points, eight rebounds and five assists), Penna nailed her final two foul shots, as she was perfect from the line, 12-for-12, to seal the win.

- BC took just 10 foul shots while sending Wake Forest to the foul line 23 times. The Deacs went 20-for-23 from the charity stripe.

- BC shot 50 percent from the floor, just 1-for-9 from the three-point arc in the second half while Wake Forest shot 38 percent from the floor but hit 7-for-14 from long range..
