Dair Named ACC Player of the Week

Sophomore garners first weekly honors from the conference
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Sophomore Asiya Dair was name ACC co-player of the week after her performance against seventh-ranked Virginia on Sunday. She shared the honor with North Carolina's Hayley Carter, the sixth-ranked player in the country.
The Almaty, Kazakhstan product won her singles match 6-4, 6-1, defeating three-time All-American and eighth-ranked Julia Elbaba in the No. 2 spot. She also helped the Eagles claim the doubles point against the Cavaliers, partnering with Jennifer Ren to win 9-7 in the No. 2 position and give Boston College a 2-1 advantage.
After a two-week break, the Eagles return to action when they face Harvard at the Crimson's Beren Tennis Center in Boston on Saturday, Jan. 30.
