- Junior Kelly Hughes notched her 1,000 point and scored 23 points but Boston College fell short, 71-51, in an ACC battle at Duke on Sunday afternoon. Boston College is now 12-5 overall and 0-4 in the ACC, while Duke improved to 13-6 overall and 2-3 in the conference. BC will host Pittsburgh on Thursday night at 7 p.m.
- Junior Kelly Hughes shot 5-for-9 from long range and finished with 23 points and four boards. She scored her 1,000th career point on a three-pointer in the third quarter..
- The 10-2 run to open the fourth quarter halted the Eagles second half comeback.
- Duke held BC to just eight points in the first quarter. BC had seven turnovers and shot just 25 percent from the floor. Duke had 11 points off the Eagles turnovers and shot 47 percent from the floor to take a 17-8 lead after one.
- The second quarter, BC opened up with two quick turnovers. Kelly Hughes was fouled on a three-point attempt and she hit all three freebies to cut the Duke lead to, 19-11. With 5:38, Nicole Boudreau's three cut the lead to 21-14. Turnovers continue to plague the Eagles. Nine turnovers resulted in a Duke, 30-18, halftime lead.
- Hughes opened the half with a three followed by a jumper by Mosetti which forced Duke to call a quick timeout. The Eagles started to pound the ball down low as Mariella Fasoula scored eight consecutive points and BC was down just four points, 35-31, with 4:30 to play in the quarter. BC made 10-of-14 shots in the quarter and was positioned for a comeback, down just six, 47-41.
- Duke opened the fourth quarter on a 10-2 run after two three's by Rebecca Greenwell and Kyra Lambert. A Greenwell layup pushed the Duke lead to, 56-43, with 6:18 to play.
- Greenwell hit another long three and Duke's lead extended to 64-46 with less than four to play. The Eagles could not cut into the lead after cutting the lead to six after three quarters.

- BC shot 47 percent from the three point line, Kelly Hughes was 5-for-9 while Mosetti and Boudreau each had one.
- Boston College had 25 turnovers, while Duke had 18. Duke scored 30 points off the Eagles turnovers.
- Senior Alexa Coulombe started four the third consecutive game. She now has 11 starts.
- Nicole Boudreau had three assists in the game. She now has 300 career assists. She is the eighth player in program history to scored 1,000 points with 300 or more assists.
- Boston College will host Pittsburgh on Thursday at 7 p.m. Fans can purchase tickets at the game.
