Skarupa, White Named Eagles of the Week

Pair honored for performances last week
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Senior forward Haley Skarupa (women's hockey) and freshman forward Colin White (men's hockey) have been named Eagles of the Week.
In BC's lone game last week, Skarupa tallied all four of the Eagles' goals in the team's 4-3 win over cross-town rival Boston University on Saturday. The four-goal outburst was the first of Skarupa's career. Her four goals in the game also pushed her into a tie for third place on the BC career goals chart with 98. Skarupa was named Hockey East Player of the Week.

White scored the Eagles' first hat trick of the season and added an assist for his second four-point performance of the year to help BC to a 7-3 win over No. 3 Providence at Kelley Rink. The Hanover, Mass., product had returned to the team only a few days prior after claiming a bronze medal at the World Junior Championship in Helsinki, Finland. White was named the Hockey East Rookie of the Week.
Women's hockey (21-0-0, 14-0-0 WHEA) faces Merrimack twice this weekend, including a home tilt on Saturday at 2 p.m. Men's hockey (14-4-2, 7-1-2 HEA) takes on Boston University twice this weekend with the home matchup on Friday night at 6 p.m.
