Women's Soccer To Host No. 22 Duke

The Boston College women's soccer team will host No. 22 Duke on Thursday night at 7 p.m. Admission for the match is free.
On Sunday, BC defeated Louisville, 2-0, to pick up its first ACC victory. The Eagles offense was led by Lauren Berman with a goal and assist and McKenzie Meehan scored her 10th goal of the season, third game-winning goal. Sophomore Alexis Bryant had five saves in her ACC debut. She is now 3-2 on the season.
BC VS. DUKE
This will be the 14th meeting between Boston College and Duke. The Eagles have won four matches, while the Blue Devils have seven wins. Three of the 13 games went into overtime with two games settled in a draw. The two teams first played in 1990 with the Blue Devils earning the win. In the first meeting between the two teams in 2005, BC defeated Duke, 1-0.

Redshirt junior McKenzie Meehan scored her 10th goal of the season, third game-winning-goal in Sunday's victory over Louisville. It marked her 39th career goal. She is now tied with Kristie Mewis '12 as the all-time leaders in goals scored … Redshirt freshman Alexis Bryant started against Louisville on Sunday. It was her first ACC start and win. She is now 3-2 on the season … Freshmen Madeline McCracken and Shea Newman both picked up their first career starts in the win over Louisville. McCracken, a native of New Jersey, started at midfield and played the full 90 minutes. Newman, a native of Medfield, who transferred to BC from UVA, also logged 90 minutes … Sophomore Madison Kenny also made her season debut on the back line … After Thursday's game against No. 22 Duke, Boston College will hit the road for four consecutive games – NC State, UNC, Pittsburgh and Notre Dame. The Eagles will return home on Sunday, October 18 against No. 2 ranked UVA (1 p.m.).
