Pair Ranked in Preseason ITA Poll

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Junior Lexi Borr and sophomore Asiya Dair both earned national preseason rankings, which were released by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association today. The duo was also selected for the 2015 Riviera/ITA Women’s All-American Championships, which will be held in early October in Pacific Palisades, Calif.
Borr, who posted a 13-6 singles record in 2014-15 all at No. 2 singles, drew a preseason singles ranking of No. 90.
Dair, who went 16-9 as a freshman, including a 10-4 mark in ACC play, is tied for 96th in the preseason singles poll.
Borr and Dair were also selected to play in the All-American Championships next month. Borr will enter the draw through the Qualifying Singles draw on Oct. 6-7. while Dair will enter in the Pre-Qualifying Singles draw, Oct. 3-4. Additionally, the pair will team together as a doubles tandem and enter the doubles tournament in the Qualifying draw.
The women's tennis team kicks off the 2015-16 season this weekend when they play in the Harvard Invitational, Sept. 18-20.
