Chestnut Hill, Mass. -
The Boston College women's soccer team released the 2015 game schedule this afternoon. The Eagles have a tough 19 game schedule, including 10 home games and eight teams that advanced to the 2014 NCAA Tournament. BC will play three teams -- Florida State, Virginia and Stanford -- which all advanced to the 2014 College Cup.
Boston College will host 10 teams at the Newton Soccer Complex, including five ACC teams -- Louisville, Duke, Virginia, Wake Forest and Miami.
The Eagles open up the 2015 campaign with a home match against rival Boston University on Friday, August 21 (7 p.m.). Since the 2000 season, Boston College leads the series, 12-5-1.
Boston College will then play three consecutive road games beginning at Colgate on August 23 (1 p.m.). The team will then head to California to play at Stanford on August 28 (10 p.m. ET) and at Pacific on August 30 (3 p.m. ET).
The Eagles will end the road trip at Harvard on Sept. 2 (7 p.m.).
BC will then host five consecutive home matches starting with Columbia on Friday, Sept. 4 (2 p.m.). Former Big East rival, St. John's will come to town on Sunday, September 6 (4 p.m.). It will be the first time the two teams have played since the 2004 season.
No rest for the weary as the Eagles will host Northeastern on Thursday, Sept. 10 (7 p.m.). On Sunday, Sept. 13, the Eagles will play former Big East foe Providence. The two teams last played in 2013 with BC earning a 5-0 victory.
ACC action will begin as BC hosts Louisville for the first time on Sept. 20 (noon). Duke will come to town on Sept. 24 (7 p.m.) before the Eagles hit the road for a tough stretch. The team will start the road trip in Raleigh to play at NC State on Sunday, Sept. 27 (1 p.m.) and return on Friday, Oct. 2 to play North Carolina (7 p.m.).
In typical ACC fashion, Boston College does not catch a break as the Eagles will travel to play at Pittsburgh on Thursday, Oct. 8 (7 p.m.), before going to Indiana to play at Notre Dame on Oct. 11 (1 p.m.).
The Eagles will return home for three matches. On October 18, BC will host Virginia. Wake Forest will visit on Thursday, October 22 (7 p.m.) followed by the final home game vs. Miami on Sunday, October 25.
BC will then close the regular season on the road in Tallahassee to play the reigning National Champion Florida State Seminoles on Nov. 1 (3 p.m.)
The 2015 ACC Championship begins on November 6 at campus sites. The quarterfinals are November 9 on campuses, and then the semifinals and final will be held on November 14 and 16 at the WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, N.C.
