Eagles Represented on Final 2014-15 ITA Rankings

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - The Boston College women's tennis team finished the 2014-15 ranked No. 50 nationally, according to the final rankings released on June 2 by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.
Individually, Jessica Wacnik finished her senior season ranked No. 71 in the country in singles, and - teamed with sophomore Lexi Borr - ranked No. 60 in doubles.
In the Northeast Region, the Eagles were heavily represented. Wacnik finished with the No. 2 singles ranking, while Borr was the No. 6 ranked player. Freshman Asiya Dair finished the year ranked No. 13 in the Northeast. The pair of Wacnik and Borr was the region's top doubles tandem.
"We had a really good year and had a lot of fun," head coach Nigel Bentley said. "We played lots of great tennis, and had a lot of important matches where our young team got great experience. I'm extremely proud of our players' efforts and commitment to improving."
Wacnik played No. 1 singles the entire year, and compiled an 11-13 singles record and a 16-6 combined doubles record.
Borr played as the team's No. 2 singles player, and went 13-6 overall, including a 7-4 mark in ACC play. On the doubles court, she teamed exclusively with Wacnik and the pair went 14-4 overall on the year.
Dair, who went undefeated in her first eight ACC matches, finished 16-9 in singles playing in the No. 3, No. 4, No. 5 and No. 6 spots. In ACC play, she was 10-4 overall.
The Eagles finished the 2014-15 season 13-12 overall in dual matches, including a 7-7 mark in ACC play.
