#4 Lacrosse Resumes ACC Play at Virginia Tech Saturday

Chestnut Hill, Mass. - No. 4 Boston College (12-2, 4-2 ACC) travels to Virginia Tech (6-8, 0-5 ACC) to take on the Hokies at Thompson Field on Saturday, April 11 at noon.

Team Records
The No. 4 Boston College Eagles are 12-2 this season heading into Saturday's matchup against the Hokies.  The Eagles recently defeated the Harvard Crimson, 19-13, at home on April 7.
Boston College has also notched victories over the USC Trojans (Mar. 30), Colorado (Mar. 25) and an overtime win over No. 2/3 UNC (Mar. 21).  Other notable BC victories this season came against  the No. 12 Louisville Cardinals, No. 14 Notre Dame,  No. 2/3 Syracuse in the Eagles' ACC opener (Feb. 28) and No. 18/17 Johns Hopkins in their season opener (Feb. 14)
BC's only two losses this season were to No. 5/7 Virginia (Mar. 28) and No. 4/5 Duke (Apr. 4).  The Eagles are 4-2 in the Atlantic Coast Conference.
Virginia Tech is 6-8 and 0-5 in ACC play this season.  The Hokies recently suffered a 22-8 loss to No. 7 Syracuse at the Carrier Dome on April 4.  Virgina Tech also fell to No. 3 North Carolina (Mar. 25), No. 10 Louisville (Mar. 21) and No. 17 Notre Dame (Mar. 14).  Other Virgina Tech losses have come at the hands of No. 5 Duke (Mar. 6), High Point, and James Madison.
The Hokies have recorded wins against Liberty, James Madison, Coastal Carolina, Old Dominion, Gardner-Webb, Michigan and most recently, a 12-11 victory over William & Mary at home on March 29.  The Hokies are 3-4 at Thompson Field.
Team Leaders
Senior attacker Covie Stanwick and junior midfielder Caroline Margolis lead the Eagles' offense with 54 points each. Stanwick has scored 35 goals and tallied 19 assists so far this season, while Margolis has recorded 32 goals and notched a team-high 22 assists. Despite missing the last game due to injury, Mikaela Rix still leads the team in goals scored with 40 so far this season.
Senior attacker Megan Will leads the Hokies with 51 points on a team-high 41 goals and 10 assists through 14 games.  Fellow senior attacker Meg Bartley is second on the team with 33 points on 30 goals and three assists.

The Last Meeting & History
Boston College is 11-4 against Virginia Tech in the all-time series.  BC has secured victories in the last five meetings with Virginia Tech.
Last season, the Eagles toppled the Hokies, 12-9, at the Newton Sports Complex on April 12, 2014.  Covie Stanwick and Mikaela Rix tallied a game-high six points apiece in the victory.
