Cary N.C.- Boston College fell to North Carolina on Thursday afternoon, 4-0. After losing the doubles point, the Eagles lost three straight singles competitions.
"We certainly played better than the first time we played them and competed hard like always," said head coach Scott Wilkins. "UNC is a top 5-10 team when their #1 is healthy and he was too good to overcome today."
Philip Nelson battled with Brayden Schnur for two sets until it went unfinished (6-4, 5-3).
Matt Wagner's match against Stuart DePaolo went unfinished after he kept it close for two sets (6-1, 5-5). Wagner was winning 6-1,5-4 and serving at 30-30 before he dropped that game and had to stop at five all in his final collegiate match once UNC earned their 4th point.
Boston College finishes their season with an 8-18 record.
