The Eagles jumped out to a quick start, sealing the doubles point with wins from Workman/Childree and Mullins/Wagner.
Clemson would go on to take four out of the six singles competitions, sealing the 4-3 victory.
Head coach Scott Wilkins spoke out about how well his team competed.
"We lost a heartbreaker today," he said. "Phil really stepped up when we needed it. It was nice to see Phil (Nelson)play well in a big spot and Hank (Workman)is getting better each match. Aidan McNulty was serving for the match, up a set, and played very well today; however his opponent rose up and played a strong third set."
