Borr, Shaw Named Eagles of the Week

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Sophomore Lexi Borr (women's tennis) and junior Chris Shaw (baseball) have been named Eagles of the Week for their performances last week.
Borr was a perfect 4-0 in BC's pair of wins last week over Florida State and Louisville. She won both of her singles matches at the No. 2 spot and was also 2-0 at No. 1 doubles. After an 8-6 win in her doubles match vs. FSU, she went on to win in singles, 6-2, 6-3. Against Louisville, she earned an 8-0 win in doubles and then cruised to a 6-3, 6-0 triumph at No. 2 singles. Borr is 10-5 in singles action and 14-2 in doubles.
Shaw hit his first career walk-off home run to lift the Eagles to a 6-3 victory over Duke on Saturday. He led all Eagle starters with a .450 batting average during the Eagles' five-game win streak, racking up nine hits, two doubles, three home runs, 11 RBIs and an 1.000 slugging percentage. He tied a career-high with five RBIs, four hits and two home runs in the Eagles' 22-1 victory over Northeastern on Tuesday and drove in the game-winning run in three of the Eagles' five wins over the week. He was named the ACC Player of the Week.
Baseball (11-13, 4-7 ACC) has midweek games against UConn and UMass before a three-game series at Wake Forest this weekend. Women's tennis (11-7, 5-3 ACC) is at Virginia, NC State and Wake Forest this week.
