Women's Basketball Overseas Update

The Boston College women's basketball team has four players currently playing overseas. The most experienced player across the sea is Aja Parham, who graduated in 2006, and is playing for Conquero in Spain. Kathrin Ress, a 2007 graduate, plays for Familia Schio in Italy. Former Eagle forward Elisabeth Egnell, who left BC after the 2007 season to turn pro, is in Hungary at Pecsi. Stephanie Murphy '10 and Carolyn Swords '10, the former twin towers for the Eagles, are currently playing in Romania and Italy.
Here is the latest update from the former Eagles players:
Aja Parham - Conquero (18-7) - 3rd place
On March 25, Parham had nine points a steal and rebound in Conquero's loss to first place team Perfumeries, 61-50. Against ninth place Ferrol, Parham had 10 points, four rebounds and three steals. Conquero won the game, 782-67.
Kathrin Ress - Familia Schio (21-3) - 1st place
In another meeting between former Eagles, Kathrin Ress had 13 points and seven rebounds as her team defeated Carolyn Swords' Umbertide team, 67-30, on March 22nd. On March 22, Ress had two points, six rebounds in 19 minutes of action in a win over San Martino.
Elisabeth Egnell - PINKK PECSI (11-7) - 5th place
The last season Egnell played also at Norrkoping Dolphins (Damligan) in Sweden. In 25 games she had averaged 16 points, 7.7 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game. She helped Norrkoping make it to the final after the team ended regular season as second best team. Engnell was named the Eurobasket.com All-Swedish Damligan Player of the Year, Domestic Player of the Year and Eurobasket.com All-Swedish Damligan Co-Forward of the Year.
Egnell has played in only four games for PECSI and averaging seven points and 6.5 rebounds a game.
Stefanie Murphy - Sf. Gheorghe (24-2) - 1st place
Murphy is coming off being named the 2015 All-Star Game MVP as she helped Team South beat Team North, 101-87, with 29 points, 15 rebounds and two assists. If that was not impressive enough, on March 15, Murphy had 32 points and 25 rebounds in the cup semifinal against third place ICIM.
She continues to post double-doubles as she had 11 points and 14 rebounds on March 19 vs. Brosov. Murphy is currently fourth in the league in scoring (18.2 ppg.) and sixth in rebounding (9.4 rpg.).
Carolyn Swords - Umbertide (16-8) - 5th place
In 22 games for Umbertide, Swords averages 14 points and seven rebounds a game. In the loss against former Eagle Kathrin Ress and her Familia Schio team on March 22, Swords had 12 points and 10 rebounds on 5-for-8 from the floor. In the win over seventh place Lucca, Swords shot 6-for-9 from the floor and had 16 points and 13 rebounds in the 75-58 victory.
