Seven Eagles Named to National Academic Squad

Chestnut Hill, Mass. - Seven members of the Boston College field hockey program have been selected to the 2014 Gladiator by SGI/NFHCA Division I National Academic Squad.
Seniors Nina Baumberger Altirriba, Katlyn Soucy, juniors Kelcie Hromisin, AshLeigh Sebia, redshirt freshman Audra Hampsch, and freshmen Alyssa Olenick and Justine Sheehan received the accolade for their work in the classroom this year.
Hromision, Sebia, and Soucy are three-time recipients of the National Academic Squad honor while this is Hampsch's second straight year making the squad.
The National Academic Squad recognizes student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher through the first semester of the 2014-15 academic year.
On March 9, the Eagles were recognized by the NFHCA for their academic achievement as a team with the Gladiator by SGI/NFHCA Division I National Academic Team Award, given to the top programs earning a 3.0 grade point average or above.
