Chestnut Hill, Mass.- Boston College split their Sunday doubleheader, defeating Assumption, 6-1, and falling to No. 9 Virginia, 7-0.
Freshman Seon Woo Kim recorded his first collegiate win alongside Philip Nelson in the No. 3 doubles spot. After the Eagles grabbed the early doubles point, they would win five out of their six singles matches.
Will Turner turned in a dominating effort, defeating Assumption's Viljami Rahnasto, 6-0, 6-0. Jeffrey Melvin produced another stellar performance, defeating Assumption's Casey Hodor, 6-0, 6-2.
Boston College would then face No. 9 Virginia later that afternoon. The lone victory for the Eagles came at the No. 2 doubles spot with Kyle Childree and Hank Workman continuing their standout year.
The Eagles will return to action this Friday, March 27 against Florida State for an ACC matchup.
