Stanwick, Rix Set Career Goal Records

Chestnut Hill, Mass. - Boston College women's lacrosse senior attacker Covie Stanwick is now the program's all-time leading goal scorer, while senior midfielder Mikaela Rix is second in the BC record books.
Stanwick, who has registered 173 career goals, surpassed former Eagle Kristin Igoe (2008-12) with her 25th goal of the season vs. #12 Louisville on Wednesday, March 11.
The Baltimore, Md. native currently holds the single-season goals record (65) which she set in 2013 her sophomore year. Stanwick also leads Boston College with 37 points on a team-high 27 goals and 10 assists through the Eagles' first eight games.
Stanwick is averaging 3.38 goals per game and 4.62 points per game this season.
The senior attacker, with 269 career points, is just three points shy of breaking Lauren Miller's (1999-2002) career record of 272 points.
Rix, with 169 goals as an Eagle, is currently second on the all-time goal scoring list. The Garden City, N.Y. native surpassed Igoe for the number two spot with her fourth goal in BC's win vs. UConn on Saturday, March 14.
The senior midfielder is fourth on the squad with 28 points on 22 goals and six assists. Rix dominates the draw control, amassing a team-high 28 draw controls through the Eagles' first eight games of the season.
