Skiing Competes at Middlebury Winter Carnival

On Friday, the team competed in bonechilling temperatures. In the giant slalom, the men's team raced to an 8th place finish, led by freshmen Carter Robertson and Jak Kennedy, who each placed in the top 25. Robertson finished 19th overall, followed closely by Kennedy in 22nd place. Junior and team captain Chase Ryan finished in 40th position for the men. On the women's side, sophomore Bug Pech led the team with a 38th place finish. Fellow sophomore Kristie Ryan finished in 44th position, followed by freshman Maggie Gilligan in 46th place.
Saturday's slalom competition, Robertson again led the way for the men with a 28th place finish. Juniors Chris Keating and Keith Schuman finished in 37th and 45th place, respectively. In the women's slalom, senior Taylor Burgart was the top finisher for the Eagles in 42nd place, and Pech finished in 46th position.
The Eagles will compete next in the St. Lawrence Carnival and NCAA Regional Championships on February 27th and 28th at Whiteface Mountain in Lake Placid, NY.
