Sarah Mannelly Named Finalist For Best Women's Breakthrough

BALTIMORE, Md. – Senior Midfielder Sarah Mannelly has been named one of four finalists for the "Best of Lacrosse 2015" Best Women's Breakthrough performance by Lacrosse Magazine, as recently announced by the publication.
Mannelly, a product of New Canaan, Conn., registered 50 goals, including four game-winning goals, while adding 17 assists for 67 points during the 2015 season. She led the Eagles with 21 caused turnovers while picking up 31 ground balls and winning 40 draw controls. A 2015 ISLCA All-American, Mannelly was named a 2015 Tewaarton Award finalist, the first ever in program history during a season that saw Boston College finish the season 15-4, the highest-winning percentage in program history, while advancing to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.Â
Mannelly joins Lucy Dikeou (Stanford), Selena Lasota (Northwestern) and Michaela Michael (USC) as the four finalists for the annual "Best of Lacrosse" contest held by Lacrosse Magazine.
Fan voting for the award will continue through Monday, Dec. 14 and the fan voting and Lacrosse Magazine's staff selections will be announced Dec. 28.
