Alum McCaffrey To Play For US Women's National Team

Eagles forward Stephanie McCaffrey named to USWNT for final leg of Victory Tour
Former Boston College women's soccer player Stephanie McCaffrey will spend the month of December with the US Women's National Team. A native of Winchester, McCaffrey is on the roster to play in the final four games in the US Victory Tour.
The team will play Trinidad &Tobago on Dec. 6 at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu (8 p.m. ET on FOX Sports 1/FOX Sports GO) and Dec. 10 at the Alamodome in San Antonio (8 p.m. CT on ESPN2/WatchESPN). The final two matches will be against China PR on Dec. 13 at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona (5 p.m. MT on ESPN2/WatchESPN), and Dec. 16 at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans (7 p.m. CT on FOX Sports 1/FOX Sports GO).
McCaffrey earned her first cap with the team on Oct. 25 against Brazil in Orlando, Florida. She also scored her first international goal in the 4-1 victory.
The former Eagles forward just resigned with the Boston Breakers. In her rookie campaign, McCaffrey had three goals and three assists in 19 games for the Breakers. She was second on the team in shots and shots on goal.
While at Boston College, McCaffrey finished her career as the third all-time leading scorer with 92 points. She was an All-ACC first team honoree as a junior and senior and earned second team honors as a sophomore. She was also an All-ACC Rookie team honoree.
McCaffrey graduated from Boston College in 2015 with a degree from the Carroll School of Management.
