Carter, Skarupa Named Eagles of the Week

Pair honored for performances last week

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Graduate student guard Eli Carter (men's basketball) and senior forward Haley Skarupa (women's hockey) have been named Eagles of the Week.

Carter averaged 15.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 1.5 blocks in a pair of games last week. He scored 15 points and grabbed five rebounds at #15/18 Providence last Wednesday. Then he recorded 16 points, nine assists, eight rebounds and two blocks in a win against Maine on Sunday.

Skarupa tallied a career-high five assists in BC's 7-2 win at Syracuse and in the process, recorded her 200^th career point. She is just the third player in program history to reach that mark and the 29th player in NCAA history. She was named Hockey East co-player of the week for the first time this season.

Men's basketball (4-6) hosts Delaware on Saturday night at 7 p.m. Women's hockey (20-0-0, 13-0-0 WHEA) is back in action on January 9.
