HOW IT HAPPENED
SOUND BITES
"It was an incredible game of hockey. A lot of tempo changes in the game for both teams. Credit to Wake Forest. They put our defense on our heels from the start. I'm really proud and happy for our players though. They left everything on the field. They knew the history of never winning an ACC Tournament game and they achieved that today. We are on to prepping for the next game."

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Jule Grashoff got things going for Wake Forest inside the first minute of the game, capitalizing on a pass from Kali Vicars
- Boston College answered only three minutes later when junior Eryn McCoy made good off a Frederique Haverhals penalty corner
- The Demon Deacons regained the lead in the 28th minute when Vicars scored after shaking her defender with a spin move and rocketing a shot from the top of the circle
- The Eagles once again knotted things up five minutes into the second half when Haverhals banged in a pass from senior Romee Stiekema
- In the 58th minute, Grashoff fired in a pass from the right sideline that found teammate Krysta Wangerin, who fired it into the top corner of the net to put Wake Forest in front 3-2
- Less than three minutes later, junior Emily McCoy pulled the Eagles even off a penalty stroke
- With just 3:47 remaining in the second overtime period, senior Kelcie Hromisin knocked in her own rebound to win it for Boston College
