Enstrom, Hughes Named Eagles of the Week

Pair honored for performances last week
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Freshman forward Simon Enstrom (men's soccer) and junior guard Kelly Hughes (women's basketball) have been named Eagles of the Week.
Enstrom was credited with both game-winning goals in two wins to advance the men's soccer team to the round of 16. He scored in the 71st minute in the 1-0 win against Vermont on Thursday night in Newton. He then tallied the golden goal at No. 15 USF in the eighth minute of overtime to advance the Eagles to the third round of the NCAA Tournament. Enstrom was named the National Player of the Week by both College Soccer News and TopDrawerSoccer.com.
Hughes averaged 16.0 points in a pair of wins as women's basketball improved to 4-0 last week. She had 17 points and five boards in the win over Holy Cross and then tallied 15 points on 5-for-7 shooting from beyond the arc in the win over BU. Hughes shot 50 percent from the field and 53 percent from 3-point land in the two games.
Men's soccer (11-7-1) will take on No. 2 Georgetown in the third round of the NCAA Tournament on Sunday in Washington, D.C. Women's basketball (4-0) will play Utah and Oklahoma in the Bahamas this week.
