Hockey: The Anastos Family Tradition
November 18, 2015 | Women's Hockey
Junior captain Andie Anastos and her father Tom, head coach of Michigan State's men's team, recently sat down together
On a recent Friday, the hockey teams at Boston College played a day-night doubleheader with the second-ranked women's hockey team hosting New Hampshire in the afternoon, while the second-ranked men's hockey team played host to Michigan State that night.
The scheduling provided a unique opportunity for women's hockey's junior captain Andie Anastos to sit down with her father, Tom Anastos, to talk about hockey and how the sport has been woven throughout their lives. Tom is the Spartan's head coach, and the night before the games, Andie and Tom got together at Kelley Rink to talk hockey. Tom also had a chance to attend Andie's game on Friday afternoon, while Andie had the chance to cheer on her father that evening.
