Doton Set to Welcome in Five Newcomers for 2016

BC adds depth for future
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College field hockey team is set to bring on some new additions.
Five commits signed their National Letters of Internt to play for head coach Kelly Doton and the Eagles in 2016 this week. The five are: Brigid Wood, Kate Pianko, Emily Buttinger, Meghan Mogas and Sarah Dwyer.

Brigid Wood – Midfield – James M. Coughlin High – Plains, Pa.
Plays at James M. Coughlin High School … captain of field hockey team … 3x First Team All-State (2013, 2014, 2015) … Second Team All-State (2012) … Second Team All-American (2014) … member of USA Under 19 Junior National Team … named one of the Max Field Hockey Top 12 High School Field Hockey Players in the U.S. … led team to three PIAA District 2 AAA Championships (2012, 2013, 2015) … plays club for Nook Field Hockey Club.
Kate Pianko – Midfield/Back – Freehold – Freehold, N.J.
Played at Freehold High School … named captain for junior (2014) and senior (2015) seasons … scored 10 goals and recorded four assists in 2015 … named First Team All-District, First Team All-Division and Second Team All-Shore during her junior year (2014) … 2x A-North Division champion (2014, 2015) … Central Jersey Group 4 State Sectional champion (2013) … B-North Division Champion (2012) … plays club for Jersey Intensity.
