HOW IT HAPPENED
SOUND BITES
"I don't think it was our best game, execution wise. We had some moments, but I thought Albany did a good job defensively on us. They are a very tough team and we were fortunate to put two on the board early in the game. We have one of the best goalkeepers in the country in Leah Settipane and she made some great saves for us to hold on for the victory.
"I'm really proud of this team right now. They keep finding ways to overcome obstacles. Their heart and determination have only gotten better the more the season has gone on. This is the perfect time to be playing our best hockey.
"UConn is always a tough draw. They consistently have good teams and are tough to beat at home. We will put a game plan together to defend their threatening outlet and attack. Hopefully it's a great game of hockey tomorrow."
