Eagles Next Stop Pittsburgh

The Boston College women's soccer team will play at Pittsburgh on Thursday night at 7 p.m. Fans can view the game on ESPN3. The Eagles are now 8-4-1 overall and 2-1-1 in the ACC. Pittsburgh is currently 9-2-1 overall and 3-1-0 in the conference.
The Eagles are coming off a tough, 2-0, loss to No. 1 North Carolina. The game was played on Friday afternoon in the pouring rain. BC had a Sunday off and has two more away games on the four-game road swing. The Eagles will play at No. 16 Notre Dame on Sunday, October 11.
In Pittsburgh's last game, the Panthers lost, 6-0, to the reigning champion No. 2 Florida State Seminoles on Saturday. It is currently the Panthers only ACC loss. Pittsburgh has defeated NC State, Louisville and Wake Forest in conference.
BC VS. PITTSBURGH
This will be the seventh meeting between BC and Pittsburgh. The Eagles hold a 6-0 edge over the Panthers. The two teams played for the first time in 1997. Prior to Pittsburgh joining the ACC in 2013, BC had not played the Panthers cine the 2004 season. Last season the Eagles defeated Pittsburgh, 3-1, behind two goals and an assist from Hayley Dowd.
