The Boston College women's soccer team is coming off two consecutive ACC overtime victories to improve to 5-3-1 in the conference. The Eagles will travel to Tallahassee to play No. 3 Florida State (13-2-2, 6-1-2 ACC) on Sunday, Nov. 1 at 3 p.m. Fans can watch the game on ESPN3 or a regional sports network (NESN).
The Eagles (11-6-1, 5-3-1 ACC) defeated Wake Forest (2-1/2OT) on Oct. 22 followed by a 5-4 overtime victory over Miami on Oct. 25. It marked the first time BC won two straight overtime games in the ACC since 2013 when the Eagles defeated Maryland (10.27.13) and Syracuse (10.31.15).
LAST TIME OUT
Boston College came back from two goals down to defeat Miami in overtime, 5-4, in the final home regular season game. The Eagles tied the game with four minutes left in the match on a goal by freshman Gaby Carreiro. Two minutes into the overtime, McKenzie Meehan scored her second goal of the match off a corner kick. Meehan finished with two goals and two assists while Hayley Dowd had two goals and one assist. Miami's Gracie Lachowecki scored all four goals for the Hurricanes.
BC vs. FSU
The Seminoles (13-2-2, 6-1-2 ACC) lead the overall series, 12-1-2. Last year Boston College lost to FSU, 2-0, on Sept. 21.
In 2013 BC played FSU twice the first a wild 4-3 loss during the regular season. The second game was in the NCAA Tournament in the Elite Eight. The Eagles opened the NCAA Tournament with wins over Northeastern (2-0), Nebraska (4-0) and Illinois State (4-0) before playing FSU in Florida. The Eagles fell to the Seminoles, 4-0.

Boston College's current RPI is 40 … BC junior McKenzie Meehan garnered a number of honors last week after her performance against Wake Forest and Miami. Meehan was named ACC, NSCAA and ECAC Player of the Week honors as well as BC's Eagle of the Week award … Meehan has now extended the program record for most career goals to 44. She is also inching up the career point program record with 93 points which places her in third, behind Sarah Rahko with 94 points. Meehan has 15 game-winning-goals, and is two goals away from breaking the program record of 16 held by Brooke Knowlton '10 … Junior Hayley Dowd is also moving up the program record list as she is now seventh in goals scored with 31 and 10th in points scored with 71 … The team is 46th in the country in scoring offense (1.89) and 47th in total goals (34).
