- Senior goalkeeper Leah Settipane made a career-high 16 saves on the day
- The goal in overtime was junior Emily McCoy's team-high eighth goal of the season and third game-winning goal—all three came in OT
- Senior Romee Stiekema netted her second goal and fourth assist of the season
- Junior Eryn McCoy assisted on Stiekema's goal and has now recorded a point in six of the last seven games
- The Eagles outscored the Cavaliers 5-1 in the second half and overtime
TURNING POINT
- Junior Emily McCoy scored in overtime to win it for the Eagles
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Riley Tata got the Cavaliers on the board first just three minutes in, scoring off an assist from Lucy Hyams
- Tata would get a second in the 24th minute, knocking in a rebound to extend the UVA lead
- Just five minutes later, Tara Vittese made it 3-0 for the Cavs
- Only a minute after the half, the Eagles got one back courtesy of senior Romee Stiekema who capitalized off an assist from junior Eryn McCoy
- Ten minutes later in the 46th minute, junior Brittany Sheenan brought BC within one, scoring off a penalty corner
- Virginia made it 4-2 in the 60th minute when Tata notched her hat trick off a rebound
- Only a minute later the Eagles pulled back within one as senior Kelcie Hromisin netted off a broken penalty corner
- Senior AshLeigh Sebia evened things up in the 65th minute knocking in a pass from Hromisin
- Two minutes into overtime junior Emily McCoy took it 90 yards before scoring the game-winner
