Eagles Place 16th in Club Eights Race At HOCR

BC completed four races on home course Oct. 17-18
BOSTON - The Boston College women's rowing team placed 16th in the Club 8 race when their "A" boat finished with a time 18:13.77, while their fellow teammates in the "B" boat placed 25th, finishing less than a minute later at 19:00.42 respectively.
The Eagles also finished 21st in the Women's Championship Eights and added a 60th place finish in the Women's Club Four on their home course along the Charles River.Â
The Maroon and Gold Club 8 "A" boat of Anna Tenzinger (cox), Elizabeth McKernan (stroke), Morgan Rann, Amanda Jenkins, Caitlain McDonald, Jessica Ferrante, Jacqueline McDonnell, Laura Mazziotta and Michela Karrash (bow) took 16th at 18:13.77, 1:04.19 second behind the winning Brown University boat.
Their "B" boat, consisting of Lauren Hansford (cox), Meaghan McDonald (stroke), Isabelle Daellenbach, Madison Cann, Jessica Zettlemoyer, Grace Brzozowski, Katherine DeVlieger, Elizabeth Barrett and Julia Barrett (bow) crossed at 19:00.42, 47 seconds behind their counterparts.
In the Women's Championship Eight event, the team of Kylie Hasegawa (cox), Makenzy Brown (stroke), Grace Grunau, Haley Clarke, Megan Carney,Catherine Goldberg, Caroline Henry, Caitlin Yaccarino and Michaela Jaffe (bow) placed 21st with a time of 17:17.99, one minute and 19 seconds behind the first place squad from the University of California, who finished at 15:58.62.Â
Finally, the Eagles took 60th in the Women's Club Fours event with a time of 25:48.30 in a race that saw Potomac take gold. The boat was made up of Amanda Bakke (cox), Hilary Gould (stroke), Kelly Bungard, Kylie O'Connor and Claire Mason (bow).
Boston College will be back on the water Nov. 1 at the Princeton Three Mile Chase in Princeton, N.J.Â
