
Maroon and Gold Close Out Home Stand

Midweek game vs. Syracuse, Friday evening vs. Virginia on tap
Head coach Chris Campbell and his squad (9-9, 1-5 ACC) will wrap up their current home stand this week with two games against Syracuse and Virginia as they look to get back into the thick of the ACC standings. The Eagles, who have dropped their past three games, will look to pull out a win against the Orange for a rare midweek game Wednesday evening, beginning at 5 pm. Then on Friday evening, Boston College closes out their home stand with a 7:30 bout with Virginia. Both games will be played in Power Gym on the Chestnut Hill campus.

The Orange, who defeated BC on September 25 by a 3-1 score, have won three of their five games since defeating the Eagles, with victories over Clemson, Notre Dame and Virginia Tech, respectively.

Virginia (12-5, 4-2 ACC) are also one of the four teams tied for that fourth spot in the conference standings as they have won three of their last four games, defeating the likes of Pittsburgh, Virginia Tech and NC State.
GAME NOTES:
Following their weekend off, the Eagles will return to action Friday, Oct. 23 when the team travels to Coral Gables, Fla. for a 7:00 p.m. matchup with Miami. They close out their quick road trip two days later when they head north to take on nationally ranked Florida State on Oct. 25 at 1 p.m.

- Syracuse is the second-best team in the ACC in regards to opponents hitting percentage, as they have held opponents to a .157 mark, while their 200.5 total blocks on the season is 20 more than the next team in conference.
- 6-2 sophomore Leah Levert is third in conference, averaging 1.34 blocks per set, which places her 27th in Division I
- Freshman Sanita Ebangwese averages 1.21 blocks per set, which places her ninth amongst conference players.
- In their first matchup of the season, Boston College was led by Katty Workman, who tallied 17 kills, and Kam McLain, who had 14 kills and six total blocks. The Eagles took the opening set in extra points, 26-24, before falling 25-21, 25-10, 25-18 the remainder of the evening.

- Boston College is 3-15 (.166) all-time against the Cavaliers dating back to 2005 and have lost the last three, including last year's Nov. 26 match by a score of 3-0.
- The Cavaliers are third in the conference with a .257 hitting percentage while their 1.65 service aces per set is second in the ACC.
- Freshman Anna Walsh is sixth with her .364 hitting percentage in 62 sets while Lauren Fuller has totaled 710 assists, which leads all ACC players.
- In service aces, Virginia has three players in the top-10 of the conference, as senior Kayla Sears leads with a 0.49 aces/set mark (11th in the country) while Lexi Riccolo (0.37 aces/set) and Natalie Bausback (0.31 aces/set) round out the top-10. Bausback also leads the conference with 91 total blocks.
GAME NOTES:
- Katty Workman continues to lead the conference in kills as she picked up another 30 kills towards her season total of 257, while her mark of 4.21 per set also leads the ACC. She also leads the conference in points per set, where she currently averages 4.52 points per set.
- Senior Mallori Moffat currently sits in sixth place in assists with 9.00 assists per set
- Junior Madisen Lydon is 10th in the conference, averaging 3.78 digs per set.
- The ACC currently has two schools in the top-25, as Florida State is ranked tied for 18th while Louisville has creeped in at No. 25. North Carolina was also receiving votes in the AVCA poll
