October 01, 2015 | Boston College Athletics
Boston College Athletics has unveiled a brand new website designed with Eagles fans in mind.
The new BCEagles.com has been months in the making and includes live and on-demand video streaming, live stats, infographics and online storefront. The new site features greater video integration, more visual story-telling and a clean, crisp, photo-centric design. The fully mobile-friendly site will enable users to watch live-streamed games and events on their mobile devices.
"We're very excited to launch our new web platform," Director of Athletics Brad Bates said. "We are always searching for innovative ways to connect with our fans, and we realize we must connect on many different digital platforms."
The site inclues a feature called "MyBC," which will enable users to customize the way they wish to receive information about BC sports. With the MyBC application, fans can choose the news, games and social media posts from their favorite sports and change their selections at any time.
The site offers an adaptive design that will fluidly change to fit any device's screen and has intuitive and user-friendly navigation tools. The new bceagles.com includes direct YouTube playback with increased offerings across all sports and direct access to a new video player - bceagles.tv - which includes increased live event coverage and archives of past events.
More than just a website, the new BCEagles.com is the Eagles' new digital home in conjunction with SIDEARM Sports.
